FAQs
Do developers need a seat in Ditto?
Depending on if they interact with product text, it can be helpful for developers to be in Ditto to manage text IDs, view/copy IDs when implementing mockups, or managing the API key for the Ditto API/CLI.
Generally speaking, who should be an editor and who should be a commenter?
Although this differs team by team, we typically see roles that edit text, implement text in designs, or manage design/content systems as editors in Ditto — these are often product designers and writers. We often see roles adjacent to product/design, such as compliance/legal and marketing, brought into Ditto as commenters. For a full breakdown of role-based permissions in Ditto, go here.
How can I cancel my paid plan?
You can cancel your paid plan at any time in the Billing page of your Account Settings. After cancelling, you'll still have access to your paid plan until the end of the last billing period.
How many people can use the developer integrations add-on?
Our developer integrations add-on applies for the entire workspace, providing access to fetch any of the text in your Ditto workspace using our API or CLI. An unlimited number of developers can access our API after adding our developer integrations add-on. On our Starter (Free) Plan, the developer integrations add-on is also free.
What does our Enterprise support and onboarding entail?
For teams on our Enterprise plan, we'll work directly with your team to plan a rollout, provide trainings for all team members, and provide hands-on developer guidance for our developer integrations. We'll also set up a shared realtime chat channel (i.e. Slack, Microsoft Teams), provide a dedicated customer success manager, and work closely together on feature requests. For more information about our Enterprise Plan, contact us using the Enterprise form above.
What if more people are added to my team every month?
You can add new editors to your team at any time. If you originally purchased an annual plan, additional seats will be charged at the monthly rate.
What is included in custom invoicing?
On our Enterprise Plan, we allow for custom payment terms, alternate payment methods (such as ACH), and email invoicing.
